Some wonderful news has occurred since we booked Rebecca ... and here it is ...

Rebecca Loebe is an indie-folk singer from Atlanta who made her national television debut on NBC's new hit show "The Voice." She has lived in her car for the past few years; traveling all over the country performing more than 100 shows a year at coffeehouses, colleges and listening rooms.

On the premiere episode of "The Voice," Loebe performed Nirvana's "Come As You Are" as the famous coaches listened blindly with their backs to her. During her performance, Christina Aguilera and Maroon 5's Adam Levine both turned around to show their support. Ultimately, she decided to join Adam's team, because she feels his career more closely resembles the goals she's working toward as a singer-songwriter.

Rebecca takes the stage at the Rear Window on Saturday May 7, at 7:30. Please come help us give her a true Ganado welcome, hear about her travels and listen to her awesome music!

Rebecca comes to the Rear Window Listening Room highly recommended by Raina Rose who has shared the stage with her many times. Rebecca's lyrics are witty & she has remarkable taste in matching those lyrics to sweet melody.

Rebecca Loebe is a laid-back award-winning indie-folk singer from Atlanta, GA. Since quitting her job as a full-time recording studio engineer in 2006, she has performed 100+ shows per year at colleges, coffeehouses and theaters in over 30 states of the US and in Europe. She has garnered rave reviews for her high-energy performances, weaving together skillful, emotional songwriting, folk storytelling and whimsical comedy for the ADHD generation.

In the May of 2009 she was honored as a winner at the Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition, and in 2010 her full length album 'Mystery Prize' spent over 2 months on both the US and European Americana Charts. In the UK, Mystery Prize received a 4-star review from Maverick Magazine, which reported the "sophomore album sparkles and bubbles." Ed Muitjens of Johnny's Garden in The Netherlands wrote, "'Mystery Prize' exhales originality and creativity." Of Rebecca herself, TX music critic Jeanna Goodrich said, "Her voice instantly took my breath away; I could tell right from the start: Rebecca Loebe was born for this."

Sometimes review quotes speak for themselves.

"The wit of Dar, the bite of Ani, and the beauty of Norah - it was a treat
seeing you perform last night!"
- Adam Kucik (WYEP Pittsburgh)

"She takes chance after chance on her delightful new album, Mystery PrizeThere's no mystery here, the girl has talent!"
- James Kelly (Creative Loafing, Atlanta)

"Like something familiar that you've never heard beforeShe whittles things down to the bare bones, allowing stark, vivid chord progressions and slow arpeggios to drip through the songs like honey."
Johnny Black (High Plains Public Radio, Amarillo TX)

"Her voice instantly took my breath away I could tell right from the start: Rebecca Loebe was born for this."
- Jeanna Goodrich (Hill Country Explore)

"'Mystery Prize' exhales originality and creativity."
- Ed Muitjens (Johnny's Garden)

"Her voice is wide-eyed and velvety, and imparts a sense of intimacy that is rarely achieved in recording."
Preston Duncan (RVA Magazine, Richmond VA)

"The best parts of Jenny Lewis mixed with whimsical folk musicI've been listening to [Mystery Prize] on repeat for the last several days and I suggest that you do, too."
- songsillinois.net
