If you miss this performance, you are doing yourself a great disservice. First, if you want to know how good Richard Smith is, just ask Tommy Emmanuel, Monte Montgomery, Andy McKee, or any guitarists you might consider to be great ... they will all give Richard high praise. As for Valerie Hartzell ... she is a classically trained, internationally acclaimed guitarist who is in high demand worldwide. Valerie is the director of Houston's International Classical Guitar Symposium, and is doing the same thing at Texas A & M at College Station. To have two guitar prodigies on the stage in one evening is practically unheard of. This is one of the best show's you will ever hear, and to be in the intimate setting of the Rear Window ... well ... it just doesn't get any better that that!
